A week of celebration for feeling part of the UNESCO Dolomites

This year’s Dolomites UNESCO Fest takes place between Sesto and the Bletterbach Gorge in Alto Adige. A whole week packed with meetings, guided walks, family events and scientific lectures.

The UNESCO Dolomites World Heritage Fest offers an ideal opportunity for all the communities inhabiting the individual valleys to take a look at one another, meet and engage in dialogue, with the obvious aim of acquiring an even deeper and closer knowledge of all the unique features of the World Heritage Site. The undisputed star of this year’s show is geology, the science that enables the Dolomites to be studied like an open book.

From Saturday 9 to Friday 15 June the programme includes a number of guided walks and tours in System 5 of the Dolomites World Heritage Site. There will also be a number of informative evening events organised in partnership with the Sesto – Tre Cime Mountaineering School and the Tre Cime Natural Parkland. The closing day, on Sunday 17 June, will take place in Aldein/Aldino, at the Bletterbach GEOPARC in System 8, featuring workshops, play activities for the little ones and guided walks taking in the geology of a site that allows you to plunge headlong into the history of Planet Earth. All this of course will be accompanied by the chance to sample the delicious local cuisine.
