Conference “Destination Landscape”: online registrations are open

The UNESCO Dolomites Foundation extends the invitation to the conference that will be held on the 24th of March in Bolzano. “Destination Landscape” is an international conference about the long-term protection of landscape and is organized by the Department of land Development, Landscape and provincial Superintendence of cultural heritage.

Landscape as a fundamental element for our existence, that should be protected on the long run. This will be the focal point of the international conference “Destination Landscape – Protecting the origins of our existence”, planned for Friday, 24th of March at Noi Techpark in Bolzano.

The goal of the conference
“Destination Landscape”

“We have the duty to protect our landscape on the long run: with this conference we seek new ways, methods and measures to reach this goal”, states the Assessor of the autonomous Province of Bolzano-Alto Adige Maria Hochgruber Kuenzer, explaining the goal of the conference organized by the Department of land Development, Landscape and provincial Superintendence of cultural heritage. There will be many speakers expressing different points of view, ranging from the economic, scientific, land culture, climate, identity and landscape angles. Methods and contents will be explored in three thematic segments: “Culture, economy and science”, “Climate and land use” and “Landscape, identity and community development”. The scientific supervision will be performed by Andreas Kipar, internationally renowned landscape architect and co-founder of landscape consultancy and planning studio Land. Participants will have the chance to be an active part of the conversation.
