Degree Awards: applications now open

Geology, landscape, tourism, architecture, history, cultural heritage… there are many areas in which the study of the Dolomite context can be particularly valuable in promoting its conservation, communication and enhancement. With this in mind, the fourth edition of the Dolomites World Heritage Degree Award is now officially open.

PROMOTERS AND OBJECTIVES

The initiative is promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento, through TSM|STEP Scuola per il Governo del Territorio e del Paesaggio (School for Territorial and Landscape Governance) and as part of the coordination activities of the Training and Scientific Research Network of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation. Its aim is to promote studies and research regarding the Dolomites World Heritage Site, with particular attention to geology and landscape, the universal values recognised by UNESCO. One of the goals of the Award is to also stimulate younger generations to actively engage with their territory, with the conviction that participation and active citizenship are essential in ensuring a sustainable future for a territory characterised by areas that have been recognised as having an Outstanding Universal Value.

REGISTRATION

Participation is open to all young graduates and undergraduates who have discussed or will discuss a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree thesis on the conservation, communication and valorisation of the Heritage between 26 June 2024 and 26 June 2027. The selection is open to all graduates (Bachelor’s and Master’s) from any legally recognised Italian or foreign university.
