The Dolomites, Experiencing our heritage

 

From 11 to 16 September, six days of excursions, workshops and informative evenings to learn more about the Dolomites together with geologists, glaciologist, guides and paleontologists. From the Dolomiti di Brenta to Cadore and from Bletterbach to the Dolomiti Ampezzane

 

An archipelago of nine “mountain islands”, each guardian of a fragment of the history of our planet. This is the UNESCO Dolomites Heritage Site. A heritage that belongs to everyone and is there to be experienced and enjoyed.

The Dolomites Geological Museum in Predazzo, Muse – the Science Museum in Trento and the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation are organising a Geology Week from 11 to 16 September. Its sees the involvement of a large number of local partners who are all keen to contribute with their expertise: the European Geoparks Network, the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, the Dolomiti d’Ampezzo Natural Park, the Adamello Brenta Natural park, the Bletterbach Geoparc, the Reserve Network of the Fassa Valley, Summer Time San Pellegrino Dolomiti and the Vittorino Cazzetta Museum in Selva di Cadore.
