This autumn, a course for operators in the hospitality sector is again taking place in the province of Belluno. Organised by the Giovanni Angelini Foundation together with the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, it is aimed at managers of mountain huts, hotels, B&Bs, and farmhouses offering overnight stays. The course forms part of the activities of the Education and Scientific Research Network of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation. Registration is now open and the events will be held online from 10 a.m. on 3, 10 and 17 November.
A varied look at our Heritage
Attractiveness, sustainability, innovation, an ability to adapt your offer and to transform traumatic situations into opportunities for resilience and development. The sessions will clearly provide an opportunity for operators to discuss the various problems related to Covid-19, which has drawn attention to precariousness, the importance of networking and the more human side of the hospitality sector. But as always, attention will also be paid to those aspects that most typify the Belluno area, in terms of its geology and geomorphology, and its special history, geography and landscape, including in relation to their cultural value. The course will combine round table discussions, workshops and group activities.
Informed Operators
The Angelini Foundation initiative attracts huge interest among operators every year. The aim is to inspire them to discover shared values in relation to our UNESCO World Heritage, and to encourage their active involvement in the territory. The responsibility for communicating the values of the landscape and culture of the Dolomites is largely in the hands of the hospitality operators. They are able to rely on the added value of a “free” natural asset, but also need to work in a more expert and informed way, in relation to a clientèle which is becoming both more diversified and more demanding
