Notice of a selection process to appoint the Director of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation

NOTICE OF THE SELECTION PROCESS, BASED ON QUALIFICATIONS AND INTERVIEW, FOR A MANAGERIAL APPOINTMENT OVER A FIXED-TERM PERIOD, TO FILL THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF THE “DOLOMITI-DOLOMITEN-DOLOMITES-DOLOMITIS UNESCO” FOUNDATION

Applications must be submitted by 10 February 2021. The selection process will be based on qualifications and an interview, and the position as Director of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation will last for a fixed term of three years.

Applications to take part in the selection process must be written on plain paper and addressed to the “Dolomiti – Dolomiten – Dolomites – Dolomitis UNESCO” Foundation – Corso Italia, n. 77 – 32043 CORTINA D’AMPEZZO (BL). They should either be sent by certified e-mail to: foundation.dolomitiunesco@pec.it, or by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. Applications sent after 10 February 2021 will not be eligible to take part in the process.

The selection process will be based on an assessment of the candidate’s academic qualifications, career and professional C.V., and will be followed by an interview with the Technical Commission appointed by the Board of Directors, to determine the candidate’s suitability for the role. The criteria for selection include: professional qualifications in the field of territorial, environmental and landscape management, with specific reference to the problems of mountain areas; knowledge of the territorial, socio-economic and institutional context of the UNESCO Dolomites Heritage Site; and proven expertise in project management, problem solving and conflict management skills. Knowledge of English and German is also required.
