The “Dolomites Mountain School” is back
While people are already thinking about the 2024 edition of the “Dolomites Mountain School”, you can attend all the meetings held in 2023 virtually. Recordings of the seventh edition, which took place between Tolmezzo, Socchieve, Forni di Sopra and Pontebba and focused on “A new relationship between man and nature”, are available on the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation’s YouTube channel.
Established in 2017 as the “Dolomites UNESCO Summer School”, the “Dolomites Mountain School” organised by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia aims to reflect on the culture of the landscape and the tools for its management, primarily involving people who deal with it within the context of public administration and in the private sector, in order to delve into its changes, also in light of the climate crisis and the ongoing processes of development, abandonment, exploitation or protection.
