UNESCO Dolomites with Tabacco Maps, mapping out the UNESCO World Heritage Site

The map of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site is an extremely useful tool for hikers and walkers in the mountains, and is the first 1:150,000 scale publication of the entire Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Pelmo mountain in the Dolomites

The map, released in April 2016 by publishing house Tabacco, is the result of collaboration between the Provinces of Belluno, Bolzano, Pordenone, Trento and Udine and the Regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto.

The project, coordinated by the Nature Parks Office of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, features information on the rear in three different languages (English, German and Italian) regarding the history, geology and the Dolomites path to attaining UNESCO World Heritage status.

“This is the first product of its kind” emphasised the Foundation’s Chairperson, Richard Theiner, and Director, Marcella Morandini, “it is a unique map offering a complete overview of the 230 hectares of the Dolomites”.

The UNESCO Dolomites map is now available to purchase online from publishing house, Tabacco.
