The Dolomites UNESCO Fest, held in San Vigilio di Marebbe (BZ) on June 29th, was a great opportunity to come together, and compare experiences and ideas. The Dolomites UNESCO Fest is an itinerant event, created and supported by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. Its aim is to strengthen a sense of belonging to the World Heritage system and to consolidate links with local communities.
The 2019 edition was organised by the San Vigilio Tourist Office together with the Nature and Landscape Division of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, IDM and many other partners. A themed trail called “The Mile of Experiences” introduced participants to different aspects of the Heritage site, beginning with its geology.
In addition, members of the UNESCO Dolomites network of quality producers exhibited a selection of their products, representing the Dolomite region through different flavours, scents and colours.
