The future of the Dolomites: commitment and responsibility

We all certainly enjoyed the party in Cortina d’Ampezzo on June 26. However, it was also an occasion to commit to our joint responsibility for managing the Dolomites, a point emphasised by the representatives of the various institutions. The same day, 50 boys and girls from all over the Dolomites left Piazza Angelo Dibona together with their helpers to take part in an experience which, while fun and educational, was also intended to instill a sense of responsibility: the restoration of the paths under Mount Pelmo.

Meanwhile, a group of children joined the great ski champion Kristian Ghedina to leave their mark in a tank of soft clay: a symbolic gesture to show that they will be the future keepers of our World Heritage site.

Four bands from the four regions covered by the magnificent Dolomites came together to play a selection of pieces, demonstrating the importance of collaboration between the different territories.
