Tracks and traces in the World Heritage Site

The interdisciplinary Geography course took place from 5 to 7 July, organised by the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation and the Giovanni Angelini Foundation, with the Agordo branch of CAI, in collaboration with the Municipality of Selva di Cadore and the “Vittorino Cazzetta” Civic Museum. After a day of study, participants had the opportunity to set out and discover the traces left in the landscape by those who have passed through it over the millennia, from prehistoric hunters to modern inhabitants and tourists. Attention was also focused on geological and geomorphological aspects, fauna and the landscapes of Val Fiorentina and the Croda da Lago Group. The photos show the stretch around Croda da Lago, with some botanical and geological sights along a portion of the Dolomites World Heritage Geotrail.
