“Ulisse” celebrates the UNESCO Dolomites

On Saturday 23 April, on prime time television, Rai Tre will be broadcasting the second of two episodes of ULISSE featuring the Veneto, with the UNESCO Dolomites bringing the final episode to a close.

Ulisse – il piacere della scoperta”, the television programme created and presented by Alberto Angela, takes audiences on a journey through space, time, history, art and nature.
To mark the 150th anniversary of the annexation of Veneto to the Kingdom of Italy, Ulisse will be travelling through the region, one of the richest in history, culture and art in the whole of Italy and one of the most productive in Europe.

The journey is divided into two episodes. Alberto Angela will set out from Lake Garda, the most western tip of the region, and will travel to the Riviera del Brenta with its magnificent villas, exploring Roman Verona, Vicenza and its famous son, Palladio, and the main sights associated with Galileo in Padua. In the second episode (scheduled to be broadcast on 23 April), he will leave from Venice and, after visiting the provinces of Treviso and Belluno, will conclude his journey in the Dolomites, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A series of excerpts from Badaloni’s documentary ‘Dolomiti. Montagne – Uomini – Storie’ (The Dolomites. Mountains, people and their stories) will feature on Ulisse to illustrate the Pale Mountains.
